For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens
And Your truth to the clouds. (Psalm 57:10, NASB)
The “heavens” refers to the highest thing known to man at
the time. So it is not saying that God’s mercy is great in Heaven – though it
is, for there reside the saints – but that it is as great as a man can
envision! And so is God’s truth. And in actuality His mercy and truth extend
beyond that for God has an inexhaustible supply of both.
