Because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law [comes] the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:20, NASB)
There is only one
way to God and eternal life. Paul here is reminding his readers in Rome and us
that the Law was never meant to save (justify), but to point out that which is
sin. In the teachings of Jesus we discover the way of salvation and He never
points to works or deeds as a means.
