He Protects

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. - 2Thessalonians 3:3

The faith of the Thessalonians was rather new at this time and Paul seeks to assure them in their struggle against Satan’s attacks on it. God has made a promise: if you trust in His Son’s forgiving work on the cross, you will receive eternal life. Regardless of the trials He allows or temptations you face from Satan, you will be saved for His glory; He protects you. Praise the Lord and can I get an “Amen!”?

Drawing Others

…and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, 12 so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need. – 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

You are never to be a burden to others through disorderliness, nosiness, or by your laziness. Avoiding such habits and behaviors commends you to everyone and provides for your needs. A Christian lifestyle is what draws others to you and to Jesus. How does yours measure up?

Glory to Him

We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. -2Thessalonians 1:12

Christ is glorified by your life best when you exalt Him. Every time you choose to do the right thing you glorify Him. The more you can live your life for Him the more He is glorified and you are glorified in Christ. Bring glory to Jesus.

More to be Saved

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you … - 2 Thessalonians 3:1

Indeed, there is evidence that in Thessalonica there was a rapid growth of the gospel in the hearts of the people. Paul’s desire and prayer request is that the same would happen everywhere he went. So that more would be saved. I need to gain more of that vision and communicate it effectively. How about you? Have you prayed recently for this kind of results?

Testimony

For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything. - 1 Thessalonians 1:8

Do people around you know of your love for the Lord? Has your life in the last week drawn others to God as it did in Thessalonica or given them cause to hesitate about the sincerity of Christians? Keep you testimony strong by keeping in close contact with the source of power and love.
