His Sake

I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake,
And I will not remember your sins. – Isaiah 43:25

Ever wonder why God chose you to be among the elected; those who are or will be saved? It’s not because of you. God says here clearly hat He saved you for His sake – for His purpose.

Find out what His purpose is for you today; then go and do it!

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8, NASB

As we spoke of at the church’s most recent business meeting, our attendance is down. One reason for this phenomenon is that people have answered God’s call to ministry elsewhere. They have been sent to places like Arlee, Montana, and Stanley, North Dakota. They came, were equipped, and were sent out. Despite our numbers, I remain proud that God is glorified because as a church we have (and will continue) to fulfill our responsibility. One more thing… where might He be sending you?

His Wants

Isaiah 14:27, NASB
For the Lord of hosts has purposed,
and who will annul it?
His hand is stretched out,
and who will turn it back?

I find it helpful of occasion to be reminded of just how magnificent a God we love and serve. Isaiah reminds us that what God wants done will BE done. No one is powerful enough to stop it. Do exactly as He wishes.

Be Empowered

He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
(Isaiah 40:29, NASB)

God takes care of all His sheep. The strong He uses to lead and guide, but His heart is always with the weak, orphans, and widows. This verse promises power to those He desires to use for His purposes. When He wants you to do something He will always make provision. Go do something for God today.

It's All about Him

And in that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted." -- Isaiah 12:4
