If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. - Psalm 139:9-10, NIV
David, author of this Psalm, pauses during his confession to acknowledge that God is everywhere. We cannot hide from Him, nor can we hide our sins from Him. Even “the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life” are all visible to Him; and we should be ashamed. Confession is good for the soul.
