But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.” - Matt 6:23
Peter tried to assure Jesus that he would never let Jesus suffer and die in Jerusalem and Jesus, knowing His purpose was to die for our sins, saw Peter’s zeal as a temptation to avoid His purpose. So He puts the Tempter in his place. You can too. Jesus’ strong statement should be ours every day. Use the same power Jesus did and use His Name. Say, “In Jesus’ name get behind me, Satan!”
