"I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.” -John 12:46
There are certainly times in the Bible when the word “darkness” refers to the dark of night. But many times, as here, it has a much more sinister meaning – the sin in this world. Jesus’ saving work on the cross brings people out of darkness in the Light – Himself. Those in the Light, friend, should never go back to a dark world and need to work diligently to avoid dimness by leading a sinful life. Stay in the light by placing your focus on Jesus.
