Bring them to Me

And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” - Mark 10:13-14

Brought to mind because of our VBS this week – it’s the last day. The children in the passage do not seem to have had need for bodily cures; their parents just thought they would like Jesus to bless the children. Jesus orders they be brought without hindrance. Children should be directed to the Savior as soon as they are able to understand His words. Also, we must receive the kingdom of God as little children; we must stand with Christ and His grace, as little children would to their parents and teachers.
