“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said,
‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” - John 7:38
The rivers are the Christian’s good works on God’s behalf
that are always a blessing to others. God gave you spiritual gifts and talents
to use to edify and build up on another. When we use them, blessings flow. Do
you allow your living water to flow or are you damming the rivers?
By the way: there is not an Old Testament verse that Jesus is quoting. He seems to be summarizing teachings on the result of God’s inward work in us (like Psalm 4:23 and Isaiah 58:11).
