“Greater
love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” -
John 15:13
In light of what is about to happen (Jesus makes this statement
the night before He dies) this is more than a statement about human nature. In
the Old Testament only Abraham and Moses are called "friends of God." But here is
the Creator extending the privilege of an intimate relationship to all who (in
context) obediently obey Him. Make sure the privilege is yours.
