"If it is
disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom
you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond
the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for
me and my house, we will serve the LORD." - Joshua 24:15
Long before Joshua other leaders have urged people to focus on the
one true God. What’s new here is Joshua’s resolve to lead by example. In his
home there is only the One to follow. Is that true of your home or does
something else stand in the way? Whether it’s work, entertainment, or even
relationships, nothing should come between your family’s focus on God.
