Servanthood

1Timothy 5:24-25 - The sins of some men are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others, their sins follow after. Likewise also, deeds that are good are quite evident, and those which are otherwise cannot be concealed.

During my weeks at camp this year I saw evidence of true servanthood: a pastor who washed and set the tables for 90 at every meal and then washed the kitchen floor every night, men who spent their afternoon peeling potatoes (a la KP duty), women who prepared meals or led the kids in crafts going the extra mile for the sake of the campers. These (for the most part unsung) were good deeds allowing God’s Word to be effective. Go and do likewise.
