James 3:9 - With it [the
tongue] we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been
made in the likeness of God.
I think the place it’s easiest to make mistakes with the tongue for a lot of people is in the home with those we love the most. But, and especially if there are children present, it should be the place where we easier show our love for and toward people. Try to make a habit of praising God instead of cursing. I think that’s what Jesus would do.
