For if while we were enemies we were
reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been
reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. – Romans 5:10, NASB
Before your great grandparents thought of the possibility of
you, before George Washington was born, before Shakespeare, and before
Constantine ruled the Western world, Jesus died for you and me so that He could
reconcile (reunite, resolve, bring together) us with His Father. And He knew us
by name and the sinfulness of our hearts. But he loved us and saved us anyway. I
pray you think of that on a daily basis and thank Him.
