good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.

What a
great reminder to be actively serving God. “What?” you might say. “Pastor Ed, it says, ‘wait’ not serve.” But
did you know that in Hebrew the words translated “wait” and “waits” are quite
different?
The
second “wait” has the usual English meaning… “to wait.” But for the second, my
Strong’s says it comes from a word
that means “to bind” as in to twist together; and according to the ESV Study Bible, means “[n]ot
passive, listless sitting, but faithful serving until God acts.”
Are you serving Him until He takes the next step in His
plan?
