1Ti 3:13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
This is a promise I have seen proven true several times. The men who took their roles as servants seriously, not only were they held in high regard by others but observers could see true spiritual growth in many areas of their lives. On the other hand, when the man faltered as a deacon, there was little grown spiritually—in one case I'd even say negative growth for allowing ego to get in the way.
God blesses those who serve faithfully.
