O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man. - Nehemiah 1:11, NIV
When Nehemiah says “this man” he is referring to the King of Persia for whom Nehemiah worked – he was the cup bearer. Nehemiah essentially asks that he be permitted to do a good job for his boss. I would like you to spend a moment and ask God to be allowed to do a good job in your home, work, or school today.
