Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. –John 6:68
This verse comes from an interesting passage. Jesus has just emphasized to His disciples once again that only those chosen by the Father are granted eternal life. The result is that some leave Him. He asks if they too want to leave and Peter responds in v.68. Since the beginning people have abandoned Jesus and their faith when confronted with truths they cannot or will not believe. But like Peter we know that there is no other way to eternal life. To whom else would we go?
