Common Confession Charge
1Ti 3:16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
In 15 Paul says that he's written in case he is delayed in his visit to Timothy, he wants Timothy to know how to properly conduct himself. …and here's why: everybody knows about the "mystery of godliness" which Paul then describes in terms that can only refer to the Savior.
Those of us who have the same "common confession" have a responsibility… to protect our witness and the name of Christ by conducting ourselves properly.
