… you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds. -Colossians 1:21
Paul is describing you before you were a Christian. Alienated (separate from God). Hostile (fighting God). Engaged in evil (doing ungodly things). Think about two things: 1) now you are the opposite of those and 2) the unsaved person next to you still has those problems and can overcome them only the same way you did. Trusting Christ. Tell them your story.
